Hi, I am Manya, A Vedic Astrologer, Sattva Yoga Teacher and a devoted student of the Yog-Vedantic Tradition. I was born in Rishikesh, a small town nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas in Northern India. Some call it the land of the sages, a place where the finite meets the infinite, a bridge between the seen and the unseen. To me, it was simply home.
As a child, I watched countless seekers arrive from oceans across—each carrying their own stories, cultures, questions and longings. I often wondered about their lives, their families, their cities and the paths that had led them here. There was something about the way these diverse lives intersected in one place that stirred me. In their presence, I felt both the vastness and the intimacy of our world.
I became an observer, drawn to the quiet undercurrents that shape our sense of belonging, the silent threads that tether us to meaning, to home. Immersed in this environment, where the pursuit of greater depth and understanding was so palpable,
I slowly began to sense that every individual story rests within a greater Story — an intelligence so vast and compassionate that nothing is outside its embrace.
From this recognition came the questions. They arose unformed and indistinct, yet unrelenting- questions I could not name but which consumed me from within. I struggled to understand the nature of my own inquiry, unable to make sense of my inner world. Yet, I felt their quiet insistence shaping me, urging me toward something greater, guiding me even when clarity felt distant.
In time, I came to understand what my Guru, Anand Mehrotra,
so often says:
“Whatever questions you choose to ask, your life becomes the answer to them.”
And so it was. As my awareness deepened through lived experience, the diffuse longing of my early years gathered into a central yearning. Life, with its inherent grace, began to answer.
My beloved mamu, who had always been a force of love in my life, took the seat of my Guru, as a reflection of my readiness — a blessing that moves me deeply and remains an ever-living reminder of Eternal grace. Under his guidance, the veils of ignorance began to lift, revealing meaning and wonder where once there was only familiarity.
I immersed myself in the Yog-Vedantic tradition, completing over 500 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, studying the science of Jyotish, and surrendering to the unfolding of these profound teachings in my own life.
With each step inward, my recognition of the wisdom that had always surrounded me deepened. It was woven into the land of my birth, rooted in the lineage of great Masters, and most intimately, embodied in the presence of my Guru. What once seemed like the backdrop of my life revealed itself to be the very foundation of it.
Through my journey in the Yog-Vedantic tradition, I came to see that each practice, each teaching, illuminates another facet of the same eternal Truth. Like light refracting through different facets of the same jewel, the wisdom revealed itself in countless forms, yet always pointing to the same luminous source: the light of the Self. What I had once sought outside revealed itself as the radiance within, quietly present all along. And to turn toward it is to come home.
In essence: what appears as many impulses is, in truth, a single return. The search for meaning, the inherent desire to know one’s true Self and the longing to discover the Sacred are not separate pursuits. They are one journey, one path, leading back to the same source — because you are That.
Tat Tvam Asi.
For me, this path is one of embodiment, where wisdom moves beyond the intellect and settles into the essence of being.
It is a journey of recognising the eternal within the temporal, the Absolute within the manifested. This recognition, nurtured through both yogic practice and the insights of Vedic astrology, has brought immense clarity and a deep sense of purpose to my life.
And so, I stand here, in devotion to the grace that has guided me, and in service to the Light that lives within each of us. This space is an offering born from deep reverence: for my Guru, for the great lineage of yogic masters, and for the boundless love that emanates through these teachings.
It is my deepest honour to serve as a conduit of this ancient wisdom, and to offer my heart in service to you. May these offerings serve as gentle light on your beautiful journey, guiding you back to the vastness within. May you walk forward with the quiet assurance that grace is never elsewhere; it is here, alive within you now.
